Most people do not realise the skills needed to pack possessions safely for a move nor how long suitable packing can take. However, many of those that have packed and moved themselves will be acutely aware of the implications of their belongings not being wrapped and packed safely and securely.
At NKS we ensure all delegates receive the right training to enable them to securely pack most every item they will encounter in the correct and professional way. They will learn what are the best materials and products to use for different items and, why we don’t use the same materials for every item. They will learn that packing is more than just packing wrapped items into cartons. They will be taught how we deal with different items, understanding what the vulnerable points are that need more protection and, packing them to their strongest point whilst giving adequate protection around the items to prevent damage and movement during transportation.
Upon completion of our course we want delegates to feel confident in their abilities and to go out on to a job and immediately apply what they have learned. For this reason whilst all of our packing courses include theory modules they are predominantly – around 95% – practical, with delegates assessed throughout the day.
Staff trained by NKS will be more confident, be able to pack more quickly and, with their new knowledge almost certainly reduce the amount – and cost – of damages to goods in transit. This will also help comply with company standards and procedures and help maintain a high level of service to customers.
